How the night runs

Four parts, one band.

Up to three hours of live music across a five-hour reception, built around your timeline rather than a fixed set count. Whenever we’re not playing, a playlist we curate for you runs through our PA.

Add-on

Ceremony

Live music for the processional and recessional, priced per musician, so you choose how many play.

Add-on

Cocktail hour

An instrumental trio and the standards: The Way You Look Tonight, Fly Me to the Moon, Let’s Stay Together.

Included

Dinner

Music at dinner volume, and our MC for introductions, toasts and the cake, or taking direction from your planner.

Included

Dance sets

Motown and soul first, because every generation in the room dances to My Girl. Later, once the floor skews younger, Top 40 and contemporary, pop throwbacks, country and rock. We read the room, not a script.

Your songs

Up to five, learned for you.

Most couples use them for their dances. Send them four weeks out so we can rehearse properly, and if your first dance is already in our book, it doesn’t use one of the five. The rest of your list goes on the playlist that runs during our breaks, and more of it overlaps with what we already play than you’d expect.

If a song won’t work live, we’ll say so early rather than fake it.

Questions

Wedding questions, answered.

How long do you play, and do you take breaks?

Up to three hours of music across a five-hour event, with at least fifteen minutes off per hour played. There is no fixed set count — we build it around your timeline — and a playlist we curate for you runs through our PA whenever we’re off, so the room never goes quiet.

Can you play the ceremony and cocktail hour too?

Yes, as separate add-ons. Ceremony music is priced per musician, so you choose how many play. Cocktail hour is an instrumental trio, usually jazz standards, before the full band takes over.

Will you learn our first dance?

Yes — up to five songs per booking, at no extra cost, and most couples use them for their dances. Send them four weeks out. If a song won’t work live, we’ll say so early rather than fake it.

What if it rains?

We need cover if we’re outdoors, and a tent is fine (The Island House, for one). The rain plan is on the timeline call with your planner, before the week of.

What does a wedding band cost in Charleston?

Ours starts at $5,000 with sound, lighting and a dedicated engineer included. Date, lineup, travel and overtime are the only things that move it. The whole answer is here.
