Under the tent,on the water.

We played The Island House in October 2026: a six-piece live wedding band under the venue’s tent, on a private island in the Stono River. Everything on this page was shot that night. From $5,000, with sound, lighting and a dedicated engineer included, and no travel fee this close to town.

The room

A tent with a hard floor and a river behind it.

The Island House is the whole island: one house, a small marina, and a 40-by-80-foot tent with chandeliers, ceiling fans and a concrete floor, looking out over the Stono. For a band that is close to ideal. The floor is solid, so the drums and the dance floor stay where they are put. The tent is cover, which we need outdoors. And our uplighting sits inside the venue’s own perimeter lighting rather than fighting it, so the room reads as one room.

The breeze off the river is constant, and it is why a full tent stays comfortable on a dance floor in October. Our engineer runs the PA for that room all night: dinner volume first, the floor when you say.

Second set

How the night runs here

Four parts, by the water.

Up to three hours of live music across a five-hour reception, built around your timeline rather than a fixed set count. Whenever we’re not playing, a playlist we curate for you runs through our PA.

Add-on

Ceremony on the river

The waterfront ceremony is why most couples choose this island. Live music for the processional and recessional, priced per musician, so you choose how many play.

Add-on

Cocktail hour

An instrumental trio outside while your guests find the bar, and the standards: The Way You Look Tonight, Fly Me to the Moon, Let’s Stay Together.

Included

Dinner under the tent

Music at dinner volume under the chandeliers, and our MC for introductions, toasts and the cake, or taking direction from your planner.

Included

Dance sets

Motown and soul first, because every generation in the room dances to My Girl. Later, once the floor skews younger, Top 40 and contemporary, pop throwbacks, country and rock. The clip above is what that looked like here in October.

For your planner

What we need on the island.

Send us the tent plan when you book and we’ll tell you where the band sits. Everything else we settle on the timeline call before the week of.

  • Travel is included: Johns Island is inside 45 minutes of downtown Charleston, so an Island House quote carries no travel fee
  • Two independent 20-amp circuits within 10 feet of the stage, not shared with catering or lighting; we confirm them with the venue on the timeline call
  • Parking for six on site and two hours to load in, scheduled around your caterer and florist
  • The tent is our cover; a ceremony by the water still needs a rain plan, and that is on the timeline call
  • Seven meals on events over three hours, with allergy options
  • If someone gets sick, we call in a player we already work with who knows the book

Questions

Island House questions, answered.

Have you played The Island House before?

Yes, in October 2026. Every photo and clip on this page was shot that night, under the venue’s tent, so what you see is what the room looks like with us in it.

Is there a travel fee for Johns Island?

No. Travel is included within 45 minutes of downtown Charleston, and The Island House is inside that. An Island House quote is the band price and nothing else.

Does the tent count as cover?

Yes. We need cover when we play outdoors, and the venue’s 40-by-80-foot tent with its hard floor is exactly that. A waterfront ceremony still needs a rain plan, and that goes on the timeline call with your planner.

Can you play the ceremony by the water?

Yes, as an add-on priced per musician, so you choose how many play. Placement and power at the ceremony site are settled on the timeline call.

How big a wedding can the band handle there?

The Island House seats up to 300 under the tent, and our PA is sized to the room, with a dedicated engineer running it all night. A tent that size is well within what we carry.

What does a wedding band cost at The Island House?

From $5,000 with sound, lighting and a dedicated engineer included, and no travel fee at this venue. Date, lineup and overtime are the only things that move it. The whole answer is here.
